Egyszerü Történet plot
After gaining the trust of the village and its inhabitants by making "On the Field of God" in 1972-73, Judit Elek continued to follow events there. What began as a detailed investigation into the dilemmas and dreams of the young generation, turns into an image of the People's Republic of Hungary in different shades of gray - the economic reforms of 1968 and the cultural freedoms that should come with them had not yet reached large parts of the country.“A Commonplace Story” is more about solidarity and compassion than indignation and anger, more about listening than talking.
