E.1027 - Eileen Gray and the House by the Sea plot

In the 1920s, female architects were restricted to interior design, but Gray broke the mold by moving to France, where she courted the art world before moving south. There, she found a waterfront plot in Roquebrune-Cap Martin, which fulfilled her dream of a modernist home on the Riviera. A self-professed bisexual, she lives with her younger lover, the editor of the magazine 'Architecture Vivante' Jean Badovici. The two cross paths with fellow architect Le Corbusier, an arrogant and self-absorbed character who worms his way into Gray's world by decorating her home with his own murals.
