Droombeeld plot

In the documentary, filmmaker Rosa Ruth Boesten follows award-winning photographer Çiğdem Yüksel during the making of her multimedia project If Only You Knew. Through the stories and portraits of the first generation of Turkish women in the Netherlands, Yüksel not only tries to break through the impact of one-sided image formation, but also to reconstruct the life of her grandmother, who died young and emigrated to the Netherlands in the late 1960s.
