As one of the last independent fashion designers, he occupies a unique position in the fashion landscape. He has been at the top for 25 years and many of his collections are iconic. Van Noten himself is known for his sobriety and modesty, you will not often see him at fashion parties and he rarely gives interviews. For the first time, he allows a camera into his professional and personal life; director Reiner Holzemer followed Dries Van Noten through the creation of 4 collections for a year.
