Russia's nearly year-long war in Ukraine has claimed the lives of more than 7,000 civilians, including 438 children, according to the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights. But of course the impact of the invasion goes far beyond these numbers - the bloodshed has sent more than five million Ukrainians fleeing across the Polish border, half of whom are reportedly teenagers or younger. The fears and resilience within such a group of teenage refugees are exposed in this film that brings the camera a stone's throw from the front lines on the Ukrainian-Polish border.
