Displaced Pieces - A Spy Story plot

Espionage, archeology and art, all present in the portrait of Lebanese artist Rayyane Tabet (1983). His great-grandfather worked on a secret mission in the early twentieth century and was closely involved in the spectacular Tell Halaf excavations, but he also spy for the government in Beirut. According to Rayyane Tabet, we live in a permanent state of destruction and restoration. We are surrounded by objects that are made, destroyed and buried.
