Diese Tage in Terezin plot

Three women together visit the Czech town of Terezin, formerly: Theresienstadt. Their motives are as diverse as their backgrounds. Israeli Victoria is a singer and she is looking for her own way of understanding the Holocaust. Filmmaker Sibylle returns to the city where her German parents used to drive by on vacations, but never stopped. The also Jewish Lena emigrated from Russia to Israel. She finds it hard to bear the idea that thousands of people have disappeared in the area without a trace. That is why she wants to give a face to at least one of these deceased: the cabaret artist Karel Svenk. While residing in the ghetto, Svenk wrote some 130 songs and cabaret performances. The 'Charlie Chaplin of Theresienstadt', as he was often called, had the unusual talent for turning current events into satire and managed to make his audience laugh even under difficult circumstances.
