Die Vertriebenen - Hitlers Letzte Opfer plot
This documentary is a triptych about Hitler's last offerings. The first part shows the fear and hopelessness of millions of people, who are fleeing in the East, at the end of the war. Many did not survive. They either starved to death or froze to death. Many women were also raped by the Red Army. The second part deals with the motives and backgrounds of the expulsion and deportation of millions of Germans. The third part takes a look in two small places. The village of Kliestow in Frankfurt, as well as Neugablonz, a displaced settlement near Kaufbeuren, in Bavaria. In Poland, the Silesian town of Popielów is also highlighted, where many Germans still live today.
