Die Unbeugsamen 2: Guten Morgen, Ihr Schönen! plot

Following his documentary on women in politics in West Germany, filmmaker Torsten Körner now casts his gaze on the other side of divided Germany. He depicts women and their emancipatory struggle in the GDR, where female political participation was also largely absent. In the working world, however, women were on equal footing with men, as evidenced by the archive footage in this documentary. In various interviews, the female witnesses of those years look back on their self-determination with amusement and pride.
