Didy plot

Gaël Kamilindi's mother was named Didy, and she died when he was barely five years old. Decades later, the director returns to his native Rwanda to fill in the gaps in his history. Together with friends and family, he engages in conversation and delves into old photo albums to reconstruct more and more pieces of Didy's life. In doing so, he not only paints a portrait of his mother but also of an entire generation of women who had to find a way to survive during a time of genocide, disease, and violence.
