Destination Unknown plot

Destination Unknown combines intimate testimonials with rare archival footage to bring the stories of twelve Holocaust survivors to the screen. The documentary creates a seamless mosaic of controversial interviews, but also draws on a rare archive of the time and family footage from after the war. The survivors share their memories, some for the first time, some for the last, for generations to come. They survived the death camps. They hide on remote farms. They fought as partisans in the Polish forests. But when the war ended, this struggle for survival turned out to be just the beginning.
