"What is Electronic Music from Germany today"
Romuald Karmakar's documentary takes a look at five pioneers of electronic music for whom their work is their reason for existence. The film starts with a still life of electronic equipment in which one looks for a few minutes at an image of cables, consoles, amplifiers, keyboards and 'controllers'. In between, there are the musicians' thoughts in interviews, quiet observations of the DJs at work and images of crowds sweating at raves. Karmakar makes no attempt to film a seamless historical overview, but instead lets his images and his protagonists speak for themselves.
