Death Camp Treblinka: Survivor Stories plot
Treblinka was a small camp hidden deep in the forest. In less than two years, 900,000 Jewish men, women and children were murdered, including residents of the famous Warsaw Ghetto. Treblinka was never liberated. Those who survived were able to free themselves. That is exactly what a few hundred slaves did in August 1943. Today only two of them remain: Samuel Willenberg and Kalman Taigman. Their powerful testimonies shed new light on Treblinka and provide a glimpse into their lives after the horrors of the concentration camp. Both have a sequel to their exceptional life story. Willenberg became a hero during the Warsaw Uprising in 1944 and Taigman was a witness at the trial of Adolf Eichmann, one of the architects of the Final Solution.
