"One photographer's journey to recapture memories created more than 50 years ago."

When world-famous photographer Thomas Hoepker is diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease, he and his wife decide to take a road trip across the United States. The trip releases emotions and brings back memories of the forty years that Hoepker lived in America and captured American society and culture with his camera. Hoepker's images have become icons of photojournalism. He was the first German to be hired as a full member of the legendary photo agency Magnum and later headed it as chairman.
