De Zesde Maestro plot

In September 2004 Mariss Jansons took over as the new chief conductor of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra. A special event, because in the large century of the orchestra's existence he is only the sixth maestro. In the documentary, Jansons is introduced to the Dutch public. It is also examined how he fits into the tradition of the orchestra. (Former) members of the Concertgebouw Orchestra look back in history. Listening to various fragments from the past, they tell how the orchestra was formed by its previous chiefs.
