De Vrouw en Haar Vrouwenhuis plot

Filmmaker Mady Saks visits the very first Women's House, which opened in 1973 in a squatted building on the Nieuwe Herengracht in Amsterdam. It was the location where she regularly met with other women from the media to hold meetings. The building also houses initiatives such as De Bonte Was and film collective Cinemien. Saks also interviews people on the street, gauging the mood in society regarding topics such as marriage and the issues facing the women's movement.
