School gardens stand for infectious fun, doing, experiencing and discovering yourself. This documentary shows the school garden through the eyes of a group of children who spend a year growing their own vegetables and flowers. The viewer follows the 'cycle of life' of the season; the soil, sowing, growing, harvesting, preparing and eating. The success, the enthusiasm and the comments of the children, but also the disappointment when something fails or a bunny runs off with their carrots. The school garden is an attractive place in the city not only for people but also for the animals. From aphids, bees, butterflies, frogs, great tits, grass snakes to the fox that goes out when the gate closes in the evening….
