De Roze Wolk plot
In The Hague, gay couple Patrick and Edward live in the same porch as married lesbians Iris and Manon. The befriended couples both have a wish to have children. In the Netherlands, more than 20,000 children have homosexual parents. Since anonymous donorship is prohibited by law, it is increasingly common for lesbian couples to ask a (gay) friend or couple not only to donate, but also to actively play the father role. And that is exactly the plan of the two couples from The Hague. We follow them during the pregnancy test, during the first ultrasound, during their daily activities and when setting up the two baby rooms. They explain in detail how they see taking care of a child in practice and who the biological parents become and why. And that they will all be mothers and fathers.
