De Overkant plot

In 'De Overkant' nuclear armament is the starting point, that is to say the fear of nuclear war violence, and again the issue is approached with an outflanking movement. In a fictitious radio lecture, the Groningen polemologist Hylke Tromp discusses the arms race. With the theme: we will have peace, even if we have to wage war for it, film-maker Honigmann looks into three living rooms with her camera. The film wants to show that major political shifts often already start in our everyday reality.
