The curtain is raised every night. "This is the utopia we all believe in here." On stage, behind the scenes, in studios and in offices, more than 400 people, visible and invisible, ensure that this utopia is realized: the magicians. What is an opera house? Who works? How do they work? What is the link between De Munt in Brussels and people and society? This documentary was filmed over two production seasons, at a time when culture no longer seems to be a priority for Europe. It is a film with a very specific vision of the world and society.
