De Magie van Carré plot

For many artists, performing in the Royal Theater Carré is an almost religious experience. In 2004, the hundred-year-old building had to close its doors for a major renovation. Prior to the closure, filmmaker Ineke Hilhorst followed various artists in Carré: Freek de Jonge ('This is a place to love'), Hans Teeuwen, de Vliegende Panters ('It's like a football stand'), Hans Liberg, Rob de Nijs ('In my mind I write it with capital letters'), Mercedes Sosa and 'circus director' Ted de Braak.
