De Chanoekia plot

In this documentary, filmmaker Frank Herrebout searches for traces of the life of a Jewish acquaintance of his grandparents: a shopkeeper in a Zeeland-Flemish port town between 1900 and 1940. This Jewish acquaintance owned a thriving clothing store on Noordstraat in Terneuzen. But because he was Jewish, the German occupiers forced him to settle in Amsterdam in March 1942. And with that, he disappeared from view in Terneuzen forever.
