In the last months before the liberation, the German occupiers acted with an increasingly heavy hand. The Germans take revenge for actions of the resistance by selecting so-called Todeskandidaten in the prisons and executing them without trial. On March 2, 1945, 46 men are executed on a farmyard in Rademakersbroek.
