Das Versprechen plot
"Love Is The Ultimate Weapon."
On March 30, 1985 in the United States, Nancy and Derek Haysom are the victims of a brutal double murder. The suspects are her own daughter Elizabeth and her German friend Jens Soering. Their subsequent flight led them to Europe and Asia, until they were arrested during a check in 1986. Elizabeth was sentenced to 90 years in prison, Jens received two life terms and today both are in American prisons. The documentary 'Das Versprechen' investigates the case, based on new video footage, conversations with former investigators and a private detective is followed during his work, looking for new evidence. Because as it turns out, none of the bloodstains found can be linked to Soering. Was he convicted?
