About two-thirds of all Germans regularly shop on the Internet, be it via their fixed computer or mobile phone. Amazon is the market leader, accounting for thirty percent of all online transactions. Traditional shops in city centers have lost their way. Their customer numbers are decreasing noticeably. But German online stores are also feeling the competition from Amazon.
