'Addicted to Fame' is the true story of a filmmaker who, seduced by the brilliance of stardom and all the media attention that comes with it, loses his moral values. Director David Giancola wanted to break through with 'films that make fun of B-movies'. He thought he could manipulate the media by casting Anna Nicole Smith, but in the end it was the same media that tricked him. The height of this media frenzy even resulted in the death of its star and one of its producers. The film was a flop, but the story was one of the most reported news items in 2007. However, the truth turns out to be stranger and more incredible than fiction.
