Courage plot
August 2020, Belarus. Aleksandr Lukashenko, then in power for 26 years, is declared the winner of the presidential elections for the sixth time. Thousands demonstrate against this incredible victory; the protests are getting more massive by the day. Pavel, Denis and Maryna are associated with theater group Belarus Free Theater in Minsk and are closely monitoring the situation. Denis already demonstrated against the regime in the 1990s and now has doubts about the usefulness of the protests. Maryna worries about the future. Pavel considers emigration. They realize that they have to make their voices heard not only on stage, but especially on the street.
