Containment plot

How do we preserve material that will take hundreds of thousands of years before it is no longer dangerous? The cold war has left mankind with tons of nuclear waste and several governments are taking the initiative to store this material in a safe and marked place. But how do we know for sure that our warnings will be readable for generations in 10,000 years? In the film these questions are asked to various scientists and policy makers and a visit is made to Fukushima, where the importance of these questions is painfully visible.
