Documentary about the rise and fall of the so-called Bahnhofskino, the German variant of the grindhouse cinemas in America, located in train stations. An alternative in the 60s to 80s for the more expensive cinemas where mainly old films, B-movies and worse were shown. Despite their greatest popularity and great influence on Germany's film industry, the cinemas are almost at odds with politics.
