Cidade Pequena plot

When six-year-old Frederico discovers at school that people die when their hearts stop beating, he cannot sleep that night. The next day his mother asks the teacher again whether children should always be told the truth. In large, colorful tableaux, Diogo Costa Amarante illustrates the emotional world of Frederico and his mother.
