Using the banality of Vietnamese state radio broadcasts, The Story of Ones gives a face and a sense of place to the unseen and offers a personal counterbalance to the officially sanctioned. As if entering a room full of stories, the viewer enters an unknown space, guided only by the sound of the radio that tunes in to lifestyle programs, phone games and radio plays.
