Children of Rome Open City plot

In 1945 Roberto Rossellini shot the neo-realist classic “Roma Città Aperta”. Set in Rome in 1944, the film dealt with a leader of the resistance, Giorgio Manfredi, whom the Nazis were hunting. This documentary takes a closer look at the making of this classic. It takes a stroll through the places and memories of the film, along with the only surviving eyewitness, Vito Annicchiarico, who played the role of Anna Magnani's son, Bruno.
