Chamamé plot

In this documentary about the chamamé, an old, but still very popular Argentine music style, the viewer is introduced to four unique musicians. Chamamé originated 200 years ago, when the culture of the newly arrived European settlers mixed with that of the Creoles and the Guraí. This passionate and mysterious music is typical of the countryside in the northeast of Argentina. Singer Gicela Méndez Ribeiro, a rising young star, Alberto Bofill, the self-proclaimed ambassador of the traditional chamamé, Monchito Merlo, who together with his band represents the popular style and Chango Spasiuk, without doubt the most famous chamaméceros of Argentina and far beyond. that chamamé is more than just music. It's a lifestyle, the element that connects them to their families, friends and acquaintances and to the Northeast countryside that they call home.
