Calypso Rose: The Lioness of the Jungle plot

Calypso Rose is a legendary singer, who has been a household name within the calypso music genre since the 1950s. She is seen as the ambassador of Caribbean music and is regularly in the company of soul legend Aretha Franklin. She is often compared to other famous female musicians such as Miriam Makeba and Celia Cruz. Rose was raped by three men at the age of eighteen and has never slept with a man since. The now seventy-two-year-old Rose says that the music saved her life at the time. The rest is history.
