A month after the 9/11 attacks on the WTC in New York, construction began on the new prestigious office tower for Swiss Re in London. The Gherkin, a bullet-shaped skyscraper designed by Norman Foster, was destined to become famous. But is it still responsible to build an icon building in the heart of London? Through various interviews with the client, the architect Norman Foster and the London board of Swiss Re, the film paints a picture of the construction of the tower and the status of icon architecture in the 21st century.
