Buenos Aires, Meine Geschichte plot
German Kral tells the story of his family in Buenos Aires, who were never really a family. In old photos, he looks for signs of infatuation with his father and mother, who have long since separated. He interviews both about their marriage, which was not a happy one, and about their relationship with their parents. Kral's father is a solitary, passive man, who would rather study and paint quietly than do odd jobs around the house or talk. His mother is a vital woman who had hoped for a handy, present husband. After many candid questions and candid, willing answers, Kral cannot help but conclude that a union between these so different people was too difficult, if not impossible, a task.
