Bob and the Monster plot
Bob and the Monster is the story of musician Bob Forrest, lead singer of the 80s rock band Thelonious Monster. The Los Angeles band was on the brink of breaking through, but was never able to step out of the shadows of similar groups like the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Jane's Addiction. The film follows Forrest from his lifelong battle with drug addiction to his transformation into one of the most influential and controversial addiction experts in the US. Interviews with Courtney Love, Anthony Kiedis, Flea and John Frusciante, among others, animations and archive material paint the picture of a troubled, but at the same time optimistic soul.
