Biography: I Want My MTV plot

This documentary highlights the history of MTV. On Saturday, August 1, 1981, this new television channel made its entry into the ever-growing spectrum of television offerings in the United States. The words "Ladies and gentlemen, rock and roll" and the music video for "Video Killed the Radio Star" by The Buggles kicked off a music station that would define pop culture for years to come. In the blink of an eye, MTV became a touchstone for young people and a new format for musicians and filmmakers to showcase their talents.
