In 2004, the American Bill Viola received the sensational commission from St. Paul's Cathedral in London. Bill Viola (1951) is one of the most popular and influential video artists in the world. His powerful video installations, often in slow motion and inspired by mystical traditions, inspired a London church council. Director Gerry Fox follows Bill Viola and his wife Kira Perov (with whom he works closely) over twelve years, from the first idea to the placement of the monumental and mystical installations in St. Paul's.
