Bernstein's Wall plot

Bernstein was a brilliant conductor and composer. He made music compellingly, using his whole being. He put a lot of emotions in the music, according to some even if there was more reason to distance. In his last years he preferred live recordings with an audience over studio recordings. Bernstein was an icon of classical music in the US for many years. Based on a wealth of archival footage, this documentary offers a nuanced look at the monumental achievements, complicated personal life and devoted activism of one of the most celebrated cultural figures of the 20th century.
