Bai Ge Ji Hua: Taiwan Xin Dianying Ershi Nian Huei Gu plot

At the beginning of the 1980s, there were hardly any local directors in Taiwan. In fact, only genre films were produced that were hardly watched by the public. However, out of nowhere came a group of new directors, most of whom had studied in Europe or the United States, with original ways of telling stories, personal stories of ordinary people. The Taiwanese New Wave lasted almost 20 years. This documentary gives voice to all the important personalities of this movement and their successors.
