Back to Utopia plot

The 500-year-old book Utopia by the English humanist Thomas More takes us on a confrontational journey through today's world. Haunting contemporary documentary stories bring the visionary ideas from the old book back to life. However, the story begins with the disappearance of a 500-year-old copy of Utopia in history's biggest mafia book theft. Investigative journalist Alex Dillen (Johan Leysen) tries to track down the stolen book that disappeared in Naples in 2011. A series of mysterious letters from his late professor (John Hurt) accompany him on his journey of discovery.
