Auf der Brücke von Tod und Leben plot

On a bridge over the Yangtze River, volunteer aid worker Chen Si drives around with his scooter every day to save potential suicide bombers from jumping. Over the past ten years, he has rescued more than 200 desperate Chinese, mostly from rural areas. Some of them talk candidly about the problems they thought they could no longer solve. It is striking that many of them felt cornered by the abuse of power by employers or governments, which makes it anxiously clear what pressure the unbridled economic growth in China entails.
