Aru Eiga-kantoku no Shogai plot

Kenji Mizoguchi was a director admired by the likes of Andrei Tarkovsky, Jean-Luc Godard, Pier Paolo Pasolini, Rainer Werner Fassbinder, Theo Angelopoulos, Jacques Rivette, and Akira Kurosawa. In this documentary Shindô gives the floor to various people who personally (both professionally and intimately) experienced Mizoguchi, who died in 1956. Mizoguchi is portrayed as a man with an eventful private life, but professionally as a perfectionist who continued to follow his artistic vision uncompromisingly.
