André plot

Documentary about the epic journey of a Russian emigrant who changed the world of wine forever. Andre Tchelistcheff, born to an aristocratic family in Moscow, remarkably survived the upheaval of the Russian Revolution and the Civil War where he was wounded on the frozen steppe of Crimea. He became known as the 'Dean of American Wine'. His uncompromising passion lifted the wine industry from a near moribund state after the repeal of prohibition and brought about a veritable rebirth.
