Althawra ... Khabar plot

Made in just eighteen days, 'Althawra...Khabar' is the biography of a nation and six brave young reporters. This film shows these journalists in images hitherto unseen and describes how they managed to survive these perilous weeks unscathed. All six were present when hundreds of people were killed and thousands injured on January 21, 2011. Although government security forces had largely blocked cell phone lines and Internet communications, these reporters somehow found a way to distribute their footage. This film also highlights a dilemma: do these journalists see themselves as reporters sworn to remain neutral, or do they feel that as citizens they have a duty to join the fight for democracy and change? Is it possible to remain objective in the face of so much unbearable injustice and cruelty?
