Alexandra plot
Director Sarah Harkink visits old friends who were with her in the closed girls' ward (Alexandra sector) of Harreveld juvenile detention center. She draws shocking conclusions: with ninety percent of the girls who were 'treated' there - without a scientific basis - things are not going well. Harkink, now in her twenties, ended up in Harreveld because of aggressive behaviour: she beat a police officer, used drugs, was expelled from school several times, threatened her father with scissors. That all now seems to be a long time ago and even about another girl. But her friends still have the bad period fresh in their minds. Harkink himself is emphatically present in the film - as an engaged interviewer, and as a friend.
