A Month of Single Frames plot

In 1998, experimental filmmaker Barbara Hammer took part in a residency in a dune cabin on Cape Cod with no running water or electricity, where she filmed, recorded sound, and kept a journal. In 2018, she gave all this material to Lynne Sachs and invited her to make a movie with it. A kaleidoscopic diary film about aging, loneliness and the beauty of the world around us.
