100UP plot

"Age is just a number"

In 100UP, director Heddy Honigmann meets a colorful collection of over 100s from different parts of the world. They have lived for more than a century and witnessed great historical events, but instead of dwelling on the past, they look ahead. With the clock ticking inexorably, these centenarians cling to life, set new goals with a joie de vivre, and refuse to give in to the decay of their bodies. Time is their enemy as well as their friend. They overcame diseases, lost partners, and some even outlived their own children. Yet these active, curious and creative 100-somethings are amazingly good at starting each new day.
