Nice movie.

After Train yesterday, another film that indeed shows the worse sides of Russia. Better to take it easy here, because the Americans (very nice role by Harrelson) are also not really rosy.

The nice thing about the film is that although in the end everything is fairly cliché Anderson still manages to put doubt behind everything and keep it exciting all the time. Although the film is actually extremely predictable, you don't notice that much while watching it.

Found the acting more than nice, locations atmospheric and image/music contribute nicely to the atmosphere. Ultimately it lacks some spice and something that really stands out, but otherwise a more than entertaining film.

3.5*

Mediocre film in which the setting and location are one of the strengths of the film. The Trans-Syberian railway appeals to the imagination. It's a pity that too few images were shot from this “road movie”. It was also nice to take pictures. I do like beautiful photos that radiate something.

The movie itself was entertaining and exciting. Wasn't really bored anywhere and the acting was decent. Woody's role was all in all limited, but that was offset somewhat by Mortimer's good work. Not an action packed film, on the contrary, but quite solidly constructed.

The ending or the denouement might be a bit disappointing, but it was especially in the first part that the film impressed me despite the fact that it was earth-shattering. Nice to have seen!

Mediocre to reasonable TV film, but rather on the dull and good side, not enough for a thriller, as a drama it can just cope with it.
